The Minnesota Vikings have reinstated their pro-bowl running back, Adrian Peterson.
The Vikings are expecting him to play in week 3, when they take on the 0-2 New Orleans Saints. Peterson was deactivated for the week 2 game against the New England Patriots after he was indicted by a grand jury on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child.
"To be clear, we take very seriously any matter that involves the welfare of a child. At this time, however, we believe this is a matter of due process and we should allow the legal system to proceed so we can come to the most effective conclusions and then determine the appropriate course of action." said Vikings owner, Zygi Wilf and Mark Wilf.
The 1-1 Vikings will head to New Orleans to take on the 0-2 Saints this Sunday. Both teams lost their week 2 matchup.
