This was one of the craziest weeks in the NFL, the injury bug hit hard in multiple games Sunday.
The two big headliners would have to be Kansas City Chief's RB, Jamaal Charles, and Washington Redskins quarterback, Robert Griffin lll, and Cincinnati Bengal's wide receiver, A.J Green. Charles suffered a high-ankle sprain according to Head Coach, Andy Reid. That would sideline the great running back for 6-8 weeks.
A.J. Green left Sunday's game against the Falcons with a toe injury that he has been battling for a week. He left the game early and did not record a single catch. If the injury is turf toe, he could be out for the Titans game this coming Sunday.
Robert Griffin lll has had his share of leg injuries in his brief career. The former 2nd-overall pick suffered a torn ACL in his first season with the Redskins. He tore is in a playoff game against Seattle. Last year he was just starting to get his rhythm back, so this year they expected big things from Griffin. Griffin dislocated his ankle when he attempted to throw the ball on the run and landed awkwardly on it. Griffin will be out for multiple weeks.
In the same game, Desean Jackson injured the AC joint in his left shoulder in the first quarter of Sunday's game. He will try everything he can to play next week against the Philadelphia Eagles, yes the team that released him earlier this year.
New Orleans Saints running back, Mark Ingram broke his hand in the Sunday game against the Cleveland Browns according to a source from ESPN. Ingram has finally been given the opportunity to show his skill set and now will have to wait for a month to show them off.
San Diego Chargers running back, Ryan Mathews will have to sit out 4-5 weeks with a sprained MCL. Mathews had his share of injuries early on in his career, but last year dodged the injury bug.
Vernon Davis, Tight End of the San Francisco 49ers was found on crutches with an apparent ankle injury. No status on how serious the injury is.
Jacksonville Jaguars Tight End, Marcedes Lewis will be out 6-8 weeks to an ankle injury. The injury occurred when he was blocking and someone rolled up on his ankle. It's back to back years that Lewis will battle a significant injury.
Chicago Bears defensive back, Charles Tillman has been lost for the year due to a torn triceps that he suffered in the Sunday night game against the 49ers. It's a tough break for "Peanut" because he missed the last 8 games of the 2013 season because of the same injury.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback, Carson Palmer was a surprising scratch from Sunday's game against the Giants. Palmer is having a nerve issue that is caused by a hit that he received last week in the Chargers game. He doesn't know when he will return.
The first-round pick in 2013 draft for the St.Louis Rams, Tavon Austin suffered a MCL sprain and will be out a couple weeks according to NFL Insider, Ian Rapoport.
