Cleveland Police say the suspect wanted in a Cleveland mother's murder has been arrested.

Police say Hector Almazan, 45, was arrested in Marshall, MO, in connection to the death of 53-year-old Aura Moralas, who was found dead on the back porch of a home at 4097 East 57th Street on Tuesday morning. Moralas and Almazan were separated and she had a protection order against Almazan on file.

According to neighbors, they heard a scream at 3 a.m. The victim's children also heard the same screams coming from outside their home.

"I heard screaming, I was in the bathroom. I opened the window and I saw the kids outside and I said, 'Is everything okay?' and he said somebody killed by mom," said Jennifer Merryman, a neighbor.

Moralas was found by her children. Merryman rushed over and called police.

"I went over and got the kids away from their mother and brought the daughter out front and waited 'till the police got there," she said.

EMS and police responded and Moralas was pronounced dead at the scene. She suffered trauma to the head and neck area. The Medical Examiner will determine final cause of the death.

Moralas leaves behind two sons and a daughter.
