Teen's family hopes $10,000 reward will lead to killer's conviction

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

The reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspected killer has been raised to $10,000.

In May of 2012, Tyler Anderson, a 17-year-old from Akron died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

The case remains unsolved but Tyler's family says they refuse to let what happened him go un-pursued and run cold.

An image of the suspected gunman, who is reportedly a Youngstown resident, has been in circulation through distributed posters and an Akron PD Youtube video.

Together with the help of Akron Police Crime Stoppers, the family hopes that the $10,000 raised will inspire someone to come forward with details which could lead to a conviction.
