SOLON, OH (WOIO) -

On September 12 around 1:00 in the morning, a patrol officer stopped a gold Pontiac after he noticed it swerve over the center line as it traveled southbound on Richmond Road.

While the officer was talking to the operator he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

The front seat passenger, Gregory Sims, 20, of Warrensville Heights told the officer that he had smoked some weed earlier. A probable cause search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 14.1 grams of marijuana and a white digital scale from inside the glove box. Sims claimed ownership of the items and was placed under arrest.

The rear seat passenger, David Green, 30, of Cleveland was also arrested after he was found siting on a digital scale with marijuana residue.

Both were transported to the Solon Jail where they were held on bond.
