EDINBURG TOWNSHIP, OH (WOIO) -

A 25-year-old Barberton man accused of murder will make his first court appearance today.

The Portage County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Kyle R. Fox was killed while attending a house party in Edinburg Township, OH. The overnight incident occurred just after 12:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities say Fox got into a physical altercation with 25-year-old Christopher A. Kiehl, of Barberton, at a home near Giddings Road and State Route 183.

A witness at the scene says there were 50-60 people gathered for an annual bonfire.

According to officers, during the altercation, Kiehl shot and killed Fox. The witness says Kiehl then called police.

Kiehl was arrested at the home and transported to the Portage County Jail.

Kiehl has been charged with murder, and is being held without bond.

His arraignment is set for Monday afternoon at the Portage County Courthouse.
