LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) -

19 Action News has helped Lakewood Police catch a man caught on video stealing champagne from a liquor store.

George Coston, 31, of Lakewood was arrested at Lakewood City Hall September 22.  Coston was in the lobby when a court employee recognized him from surveillance video the employee saw on 19 Action News.

In the surveillance video a man is seen taking thousands of dollars worth champagne at a Lakewood liquor store.

Store employees at Simone's Beverage noticed their stock of champagne was running low during the week of Sept. 14.

After reviewing surveillance video clips from a newly installed camera, they discovered that an unidentified person had stolen champagne on six different occasions in recent weeks.

It was reported that the suspect took about $2,000 worth of champagne.

A man wearing black glasses, slacks and a black jacket is seen putting several bottles inside his jacket.

The store owner also posted the video to the company's Facebook page in hopes that someone would recognize the suspect and give officers the tip they need.

19 Action News aired the video and posted it on social media.  The court employee recognized Coston and police arrested him.
