A Cleveland vendor is lucky to be alive after a car hit his hot dog cart on Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened in front of MetroHealth Hospital on Scranton Road shortly before 4 p.m.

According to Lucky Dogs vendor Timothy Jackson, the car sent the cart flying 20 feet into the air, causing $3,500 in damage to his new equipment.

There is no word yet on how much damage the car sustained after smashing into a nearby pole.

No one was injured.
