More domestic violence cases slipping through the system

We're uncovering the story behind a vicious domestic violence attack, with yet another suspect slipping through the court system.

A 54-year-old woman has spent days fighting to live. She's now in serious condition, and charges have now been filed on her live-in boyfriend. Records show he had attacked again and again.

Felony charges have been filed on Tracy Bennett. The other night his live in girlfriend ended up in the hospital in critical condition. Debra Walker suffered a broken jaw and much more.

Police say it happened on Pearl Road in Cleveland. This summer he pleaded guilty to stabbing his girlfriend with a screw driver and a judge let him out on a personal bond, or promise to come back.
Records show Bennett did not go to a meeting with the court that would help the judge decide his sentence. Plus he had a conviction in 2010 for attacking the same woman. Bennett goes back to court tomorrow.

Cleveland Police Domestic Violence Investigators are already asking the court to keep this guy locked up. County Judge Michael Jackson set that personal bond last time in court. A spokesman says the Judge can't talk about a pending case.
