Cleveland Police arrested Perez D. Worley on Wednesday after a brief standoff.

U.S. Marshals tracked the 23-year-old fugitive down to a home near Pearl and Wichita on Cleveland's west side.

"Cleveland SWAT showed up. They surrounded the house. Had dialogue with the male and the male surrendered without incident," said Deputy Chief Ed Tomba of the Cleveland Police Department.

Police say Worley is wanted in connection to the murder of Jonathan Hansard.

Police say Worley shot Hansard, 23, on June 7, 2014. His body was found in the area of 1876 Carlyon Road in East Cleveland.

Hansard's cousin, Dionte Hansard, also accused in the killing, turned himself in to authorities soon after the crime.

Reporter Scott Taylor was at the scene and exchanged words with Worley when he was taken away in cuffs.

Taylor: "Perez, do you have anything to say?"

Worley: "I am innocent. I didn't do nothing."

Taylor: "Did you shoot Jonathan?"

Worley: "I didn't shoot nobody."

Police believe Worley is a dangerous man who is a prime suspect in a shooting over the weekend.

"We were obviously very concerned, because he has dropped off the radar for quite some time after the homicide, and the next thing we know, he is shooting more people in East Cleveland. So it's very gratifying for us to catch him," said Det. Scott Gardner of the East Cleveland Police Department.
