In the first eight months of 2014, there have been 594 traffic fatalities in Ohio. This is 30 fewer traffic fatalities than in 2013 and 105 fewer than the previous 2-year average (2012-2013).
OVI-related fatal traffic crashes have also decreased so far in 2014. The first eight months of 2014 saw 175 OVI-related fatal traffic crashes that killed 190 people in Ohio.
This is 25 fewer OVI-related fatal crashes than occurred in the same time span of 2013.
There are just over three months left in 2014.
