CANTON, OH (WOIO) -

A fundraiser will be held Friday for a gas station clerk wounded in a deadly robbery attempt in Canton.

Monday, three men walked into the 9th Street SW Marathon station, attempted to rob the place and ended up scuffling with the clerk. The suspects and the clerk exchanged gunfire.

The clerk killed two of the suspects, Antonio Garcia and Ronnie Lawson. The third man got away and is still on the loose.

He is the one wearing the white mask in the surveillance picture. Police do not know if he was injured in the shooting.

If you have any information call Canton Police at 330-649-5800.

The clerk was shot in the leg and hip. He is recovering.

Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., there will be a table set up outside the gas station for people to sign a get well card and donate to the clerk's medical expenses.

A gofund account has also been set up. Donations can be made there, as well.
