CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -Ebola is here. The Centers For Disease Control (CDC) says the first US positively confirmed case is a patient at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. The unidentified patient was on a Sept. 19 flight from Liberia to Dallas and is in isolation now at the hospital. MetroHealth Medical Center's Dr. Leanne Crisman-Khawam warned about the Ebola epidemic when we spoke to her in July and it was contained to Africa."This is really a grave concern. If this gets out, it certainly could become a big deal," Dr. Crisman-Khawam said in July. Since that interview, the number of deaths from Ebola in West Africa continues to grow to an estimated 3,000. The US diagnosed patient sought medical care on Sept. 6 and was sent home, only to be placed in isolation 2 days later when he came back to the hospital.
