Students and staff at the Lorain school were evacuated Tuesday due to a smell and they've been closed since.
Columbia Gas workers responded to the scene and took several tests. They tell 19 Action News their tests show the smell is not natural gas, but of an unknown origin. The schools are working with the Lorain Fire Department and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to solve the issue.
Lorain school officials say nobody will be allowed back in the building until they get the results.
