AKRON, OH (WOIO) - 19 Action News has confirmed that a woman has claimed the lost vial of ashes found at an Akron park.
Nate Eppink, spokesperson for the Summit Metroparks, says that Ranger Kelly Brown had a huge break in reuniting the owner to the precious key chain.
Eppink says that Ranger Brown asked him to post a picture to the park's Facebook page.
Well after the photo was posted, it was shared over 800 times and seen by more than 38,000.
According to Eppink, Sandy Brown called to say that the ashes were those of her late father and she had pictures that matched the picture that was attached to the keychain.
Brown says her father, who passed away at 91, was a former scout master who loved the outdoors.
The vial was found at the Sand Run Metro Park in Akron.
