Homicide Detectives are investigating an early morning incident that left a 42-year-old woman dead.
Cleveland Officers and EMS responded to 10600 St. Clair Ave., apt. #1108, around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 2, for a female assaulted.
Upon arrival EMS pronounced the victim, Yosonda Grandberry, dead.
According to authorities, Grandberry appeared to have suffered stab wounds.
Officers located a 52-year-old male suspect in an adjacent apartment, on an 11th floor balcony, threatening to jump.
Members of the Crisis Negotiations Team also responded. After several failed attempts at negotiating with the suspect to surrender, officers on scene used a taser to subdue the male, who was later arrested.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner has not released a final cause of death.
