TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - On Thursday afternoon Tallmadge Police arrested 18-year-old Adam Kuhar, of Tallmadge for felony charges of trafficking and possession of marijuana.
Officers responded to complaints that Kuhar had been selling drugs to minors.
A search warrant was executed at Kuhar's Vandalia Drive residence that resulted in the seizure of more than two pounds of marijuana and a bag of psilocybin mushrooms.
A controlled delivery was conducted with the assistance of the U.S. Postal Inspectors and Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Kuhar was arrested and incarcerated in the Summit County Jail.
His initial appearance will be at the Stow Municipal Court.
On Wednesday, October 1, detectives and deputies from the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office and Carroll County Sheriff's Office along with agents from BCI&I conducted a marijuana eradication operation.
The eradication was assisted by a helicopter provided by the Butler County Sheriff's Office and flew the majority of Tuscarawas County.
The project helped to successfully confiscate 94 marijuana plants from fields in the county and two suspects will be the focus of the investigation.
Several of the areas checked by the helicopter came from tips from concerned citizens of the county and investigations done by the Detective Bureau.
The total street value of the marijuana taken off of the streets is $94,000.
