BUCYRUS, OH (WOIO) - The FBI today joined the search for Rebecca Kemper, the 15-year-old girl from Bucyrus in Crawford County who has been missing since September 24.
Shortly after her disappearance a blood hound was brought in to search the property around her home but found no clues. After that, a group of volunteers joined the search and handed out flyers with Rebecca's picture on them but again nothing was turned up.
The night Rebecca went missing, a back window inside her home was left open and her sister thinks Rebecca was persuaded to leave.
"We think somebody was talking to her and coaxed her out of the house," she said.
Rebecca's brother thinks something sinister happened.
"It is wrong for someone to take away somebody's child," he said.
Family members say it is unlike Rebecca to run away. Law enforcement continues to investigate and has not ruled anything out.
She is 5'1 in height, weighs 180 lbs. and has brown hair and brown eyes. Anybody with information concerning her whereabouts is urged to call police.
