It wasn't exactly the 700 yards of total offense that Ohio State put up against Cincinnati, but their 533 yards was more than though to easily take care of Maryland on Saturday in College Park. Ohio State jumped out to an early 24-3 lead and never looked back as they spoiled the home Big Ten debut of the Terrapins.
J.T. Barrett had his most efficient game as a Buckeye, completing 18 of 23 passes for 267 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried it 16 times for 71 yards and a score.
The Buckeyes offensive line manhandled Maryland up front, Ezekiel Elliot toted it for 139 yards, while Cardale Jones rushed for 50 yards off the bench in relief of Barrett.
The defense was dominant, too, forcing four interceptions in the win. The Bucks have a week off before hosting Rutgers, who also joined the Big Ten this season.
