Ryan Johansen and the Columbus Blue Jackets have agreed to a three year deal.
The deal is reportedly worth $12 million. Johansen spent this preseason holding out for a new deal, it couldn't come at a better time since the start of the new NHL season begins in two days.
Aaron Portzline of the Columbus Dispatch tweeted "Johansen terms: $3M in 2014-15, $3M in 2015-16 and $6M in 2016-17."
Johansen will be eligible for arbitration after this deal expires.
Johansen led the Blue Jackets to their first playoff appearance. He also led the team in scoring and is showing signs of being a great up and comer in the NHL.
The Columbus Blue Jackets start their 2014-15 campaign Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.
