EAST CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Two men were sentenced on Monday for their roles in a violent home invasion last year.
In March 2013, Deleonte Butler and Turan Baisden burst into the Hampton Road home of East Cleveland business owner, Jason Smith. When Smith refused to give them money, the two criminals stabbed and shot him.
Smith was rushed to the hospital for surgery. Despite his near death experience, Judge Joseph Russo sentenced the pair to five years each with three years mandatory post-release control.
