SUMMIT COUNTY, OH (WOIO) -

Opening statements began Tuesday in the trial of Roxanne Buck.

Buck is accused of stabbing her roommate to death sometime around March 13, 2014.

After killing Michelle Johnson, police say Buck hid her body in a shed behind their Maplepark Drive home.

Police believe the 21-year-old was killed the downstairs bedroom before her body was taken out back.

On March 15, Stow Police received a call from Johnson's mother who requested that the department check on daughter because she had not heard from Michelle in two days and she was concerned for her well being.

Police found her body during that visit.

According to police Buck owed back rent and had been asked to move out in April.

Roxanne Buck pleaded not guilty and remains jailed on a $1M bond.
