The UGA Athletic Association has suspended Georgia Bulldogs running back Todd Gurley, the school announced Thursday.
Gurley is indefinitely suspended pending an investigation into an alleged violation of NCAA rules.
"I'm obviously very disappointed," Georgia coach Mark Richt said in a statement. "The important thing for our team is to turn all our attention toward preparation for Missouri."
Gurley has been one of the favorites for the Heisman Trophy. He led the SEC with 773 rushing yards on 94 carries and scored eight touchdowns in the first five games for the No. 13 Bulldogs.
