A 36-year-old man drove himself to the Cleveland Clinic after being shot in the face while driving in the area of 10716 Woodland Avenue.
Around 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Cleveland Police Fourth District Officers were leaving the hospital from an unrelated incident, when they saw a car pull into the parking lot at a high rate of speed.
The male driver exited the car and informed officers that he had been shot in the face.
He then ran into the hospital and began receiving medical treatment. He was transferred to MetroHealth Hospital. His name and condition are not being released.
The passenger told police two men approached their car on Woodland Avenue. When the victim drove away, both suspects ran alongside the drivers side of the vehicle and began firing into the car, striking the victim.
The suspects remain on the loose.
