A 34-year-old man pleaded not guilty at his first appearance in court Tuesday morning. Prosecutors say Jason Hull killed his girlfriend's two-year-old daughter, LiAsia Moorer.

LiAsia was put in the custody of Hull after her mother Barbara Wichroski went to jail.  In jail she recently had Hull's baby boy.  When she was arrested she gave a power of attorney to Hull to care for the infant and LiAsia through Children and Family Services.

That fact angers the baby's biological father Terrance Trone who told 19 Action News, “They didn't have no court order or nothing, they just removed her.”

Trone and his wife say they should have been given custody of LiAsia given Hull's criminal past including aggravated assault and drugs.

He saw a red flag when Hull didn't bring the baby over for a visit last Wednesday, two days before she died saying “no show then the guardian ad litem didn't call or nothing sayin she couldn't get in touch with the guy or nothing.”

We asked, “Should they have gone out and found her?” Trone said, “Yes, yes they supposta did more than they did.”

Hull was arrested in Cleveland Friday, October 10, around 3:00 p.m. and is charged with aggravated murder and felony child endangering.

'Little' LiAsia Moorer was pronounced dead when she arrived at Lutheran Hospital late last week.

According to police, Hull was arrested after he brought LiAsiaa to the hospital with extensive bruising on her body along with other injuries.

A second child, a three-month-old male, the suspect's son, was placed into the custody of the Dept. of Child and Family Services.

LiAsia had just turned two on October 10.

Bond for Hull was set at $2.5 million.
