William T. Koch, 25, was sentenced today to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to 18 counts of child pornography crimes.
His charges included sexual exploitation of children, extortion, identity theft, receipt and distribution of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and unauthorized distribution of live music.
From 2010 to 2013, Koch coerced over a dozen minors to perform sex acts, knowing he would later distribute them. Koch threatened the minors, and used various forms of blackmail to keep his victims from contacting authorities.
The case was investigated by the FBI and Homeland Security, and prosecuted by the US Attorney for the Northern District of Ohio, Steven M. Dettlebach.
