The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland says a man made an "alarmist comment" about a family member being diagnosed with an infectious disease Wednesday evening.

The casino did not specify if the man made a comment about Ebola or where in the casino the statement was made. Staff members contacted the Ohio Casino Control Commission, Cleveland Police and the Centers for Disease Control.

It was determined that the man's statement was false and the casino is looking to press charges.

The casino released the following:

This evening a visitor made an alarmist comment about a family member being ill with an infectious disease. We take the health and safety of our guests and team members very seriously and immediately notified the Ohio Casino Control Commission, Cleveland Police Department and the CDC. Since the comment, it has been verified that the culprit's statement was completely false and we will now work with authorities to press charges to the fullest extent for this malicious action.
