LAKEWOOD, OH (WOIO) - Tuesday, Nov. 11 was the perfect day for doing just about anything outside. Downtown streets were full with people out for a walk or walking their dog and skateboarders were doing their thing. The temperature was pushing sixty degrees before noon.

However, it's coming-the cold-like an unwanted relative at Thanksgiving. It's blowing in tomorrow and will really take hold on Thursday. The downtown skateboarders had heard the bad news and that's why they were out today, getting some sun.

"It's a big bummer, it's going to be indoor skate parks all the time now-until it clears up," said one skateboarder.

Construction crews will be out in falling temperatures and then by Thursday morning will be working in wind chills in the teens. And if you have Browns tickets for Sunday's game with the Texans, expect cold and lake effect snow.

Heating professionals, like Paul Campbell at Air Rite Service in Lakewood suggest that you have some preventative maintenance done on your furnace.

"The weather hasn't made people panic yet so they get through a night, off to work everything's fine, but it's going to happen two days from now people will be running around," Campbell said.
