Cleveland Cooks: Sterle's Apple Strudel

Sterle's Apple Strudel

8 c. flour

1 T. salt

2 eggs

3 T. oil

2 c. warm water

3 lbs. apples (peeled, cored, sliced)

½ c. granulated sugar

½ t. cinnamon

½ c. golden raisins

1 stick softened butter

Cooking Instructions

1). Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2). Make the dough (Flour, Oil, Eggs, Salt and Warm Water)

3). Lay a table cloth on top of a flat surface

4). Roll the dough on the table cloth

5). Then stretch the dough on the table cloth

6). Brush the dough with soft, melted butter

7). Sprinkle bread crumbs on ½ of the dough lengthwise

8). Evenly spread the apples on ½ of the dough lengthwise

9). Sprinkle the apples with sugar and cinnamon

10). Sprinkle the apples with golden raisins

11). Gently lift the table cloth to begin to roll the dough

12). Cook for 45 minutes

13). Serve warm or cold
