Cleveland Police detained a 14-year-old with a rifle-style BB gun painted black at Fairport and E. 123 Saturday afternoon.
A group of teenagers was spotted walking down the street with the gun. Police did a felony stop on the kids and the weapon was found tucked in boy's pant leg.
Reporter Ed Gallek was told people outside at the time clapped when police stopped the group.
The teens were not arrested. The gun was taken and the teens were released to their parents.
