Akron: Robbery suspect jumps into woman's car

AKRON, OH (WOIO) -

Police officers have signed an arrest warrant for Jeremy Lamar Proctor.

Akron Police Officers say the 35-year-old man jumped into the back seat of a woman's car and robbed her of $40.

The victim tells police it happened around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Schiller Avenue and East Tallmadge Avenue.

Proctor allegedly got in her car when she stopped to make a turn. He allegedly said he had a gun and kept reaching towards his waistband.

The victim drove the suspect to a business on North Howard Street and West Tallmadge Avenue.  After giving him the cash, the suspect fled on foot. 

She drove away and called police.

Responding officers were able to identify the suspect and warrants were signed.  

Anyone with information on Proctor's whereabouts is asked to contact Akron Police.
