Wednesday evening, friends and family gathered near the place where 26-year-old Amir Cotton was shot and killed.
Loved ones are hoping that the vigil will prompt any witnesses or people with information to come forward with tips that will lead to an arrest. Cotton leaves behind a 4-year-old son. Those in attendance delivered speeches, sang songs, and lit candles to remember Cotton.
On Sunday, Dec. 7, Cotton was found unresponsive at the Sunoco gas station on Superior Avenue in Cleveland. He had been shot in the head.
At this time Cleveland officers have obtained no witness or suspect information.
Anyone with more information is asked to contact the homicide unit at 216-623-5464.
