The mother accused of stabbing her 2-year-old child on Nov. 30 appeared in court today, after she was indicted on additional charges including attempted murder.
Tiarra Johnson, 27, originally pleaded not guilty in early December to several charges of felonious assault and child endangerment. After appearing in court for her new charges, she now has a bond of $500,000.
She is accused of stabbing her daughter, A'mora Johnson, multiple times in the torso. A'mora is currently in MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment.
On the night of the stabbing, officers responded to the 3600 block of West 47th Place at 9:30 p.m. for a call for child abuse.
Upon arrival, officers encountered Johnson who kicked the door out at them. Officers then entered the home to check the well-being of the child reported. It was then that officers found A'mora with a stab wound to her abdomen.
Johnson has a pretrial set for Dec. 15 at 9 a.m.
