Three Kids Die in Ohio House Fire, Warming up for the Weekend, Liquor on Sale

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - Fire tore through a Hamilton home early fire, devastating a family of six by killing three young children and injuring three other relatives.

Flames broke out about 2:30 a.m. at 125 Franklin St. early Friday, according to the Hamilton Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived, the first floor was fully involved and three children were trapped upstairs on the second floor. It was not clear at that point if the children were dead or alive, fire officials said.

The bodies of the children - two girls, ages 12 and 10, and a boy, 7 - were found upstairs once fire crews could get inside.

Their father, mother and 2-year-old brother were outside the house suffering from injuries. The man, who was burned, was airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

The woman and her toddler were taken by ambulance to Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital.

Another sibling, 9, was not hurt.

Fire crews remain on scene, investigating the cause.

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - Bruce D. Stevenson, Superintendent of Ohio Department of Commerce's Division of Liquor Control (Division) announced special reduced prices on select spirituous liquor items for the holiday season.

Discounts of extraordinary value of up to 33% off original retail prices are being offered on 118 discontinued items in every spirits category.

Many of the items available at reduced prices are flavored vodkas including Pinnacle Cookie Dough, Smirnoff Fluffed, 3 Olives Smores, and more.

“Most of the sale items are being discontinued to make room for the addition of new products to our inventory to meet customer demand for the latest products,” said Stevenson. “These special offers are good for only a short time while supplies last.”

In addition to the discontinued items, other spirituous liquors are currently on sale and/or offer mail-in-rebates for further savings. These include many popular brands such as Captain Morgan, Crown Royal, Grey Goose, 1800 Tequila, New Amsterdam and Skyy. Customers can visit the Division's website at

a list of sale and discontinued items and find the local Contract Liquor Agency where those items are available. Quantities are limited and the selection of items available varies at each Contract Liquor Agency.
