CUYAHOGA HEIGHTS, OH (WOIO) - Cleanup and investigation following a two car crash and fire on I-77 near Grant Avenue has traffic down to two lanes northbound, and Independence Police say the right lane will be closed until at least 9 p.m. If you're coming downtown for the Cavs game, ODOT suggests drivers use SR-176 or I-71 north. Southbound lanes are unaffected at this time.

The crash happened just after 1 p.m. Monday on I-77 NB when a car and cement truck collided. The truck, driven by 57-year-old Gary Flesher, was heading north when Flesher lost control and drove off the right side of the highway, hitting the guardrail. He then hit a bridge structure and overturned, spilling cement onto the highway.

At the same time, John Gorick, 46, was driving his Dodge Caravan and was unable to stop before hitting Flesher's truck. Both vehicles then caught on fire.

Flesher and Gorick were both taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Delays are expected, especially for the evening commute. ODOT says drivers are advised to use I-480, SR 176 and I-490 as alternate routes.
