Michigan reportedly offered San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh a six-year deal with $49 million.
According to at least one person familiar with his thinking, said he was at least "considering it."
The deal would be $8.17 million annually which would make Harbaugh the highest paid college football coach.
The 49ers are officially out of the playoffs for the first time in his short coaching tenure with the team. He led the 49ers to the Super Bowl in the 2012-2013 season where he lost to the Baltimore Ravens, the team his brother, John coaches.
There have also been rumors that he could end up coaching the Oakland Raiders next season. The Harbaugh saga will continue for the coming weeks.
