Ohio State still looking for a signature win on its resume as they struggled against North Carolina, falling 82-7 on Saturday as the CBS Sports Classic in Chicago. Ohio State's offense faltered against the length of the Tar Heels, shooting just 35 percent in the defeat, their third of the season.
Defensively, North Carolina's offense handled the Buckeyes zone defense throughout, executing at will in their 2-point first-half performance. Marc Loving was a bright spot for Ohio State, connecting on five 3-pointers, scoring 19 points. Sam Thompson added 17 while freshman D'Angelo Russell was held to 11.
