Browns head coach Mike Pettine has announced that quarterback Johnny Manziel will be shut down for the year due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.
Manziel suffered the injury with 2-minutes left in the first half of the game, he headed to the locker room before halftime and never returned. Brian Hoyer took over for the injured quarterback.
Hoyer also suffered a shoulder injury which could hold him out of Sunday's game against the Ravens. Browns coach Mike Pettine was asked a lot about rookie quarterback Connor Shaw.
Manziel played 7 quarters at quarterback, he finished the year throwing 18-of-35 for 175 yards, 0 touchdowns, 2 interceptions, and 1 fumble. Manziel also added 29 yards on the ground with a touchdown.
