The Cleveland Browns announced the signing of quarterback Tyler Thigpen.
In addition they waived FB Ray Agnew and they have also re-signed DL Christian Tupou to the practice squad.
Thigpen was with the Browns in the pre-season so the coaches are familiar with him.
The last real action Thigpen saw in the NFL came in 2012 when he was with the Buffalo Bills. The only time he was the starting quarterback for most of the season was in 2008 with the Kansas City Chiefs where he threw for 2,608 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.
Thigpen is expected to be the back-up quarterback for the Browns this Sunday against Baltimore.
