Coroner's office: Bitsko died of an enlarged heart

The Portage County Coroner's office ruled that Kent State University football player Jason Bitsko died as the result of an enlarged heart, confirmed by Dr. Dean J. Deperro.

Bitsko was found unresponsive in his off-campus apartment by his roommate on Aug. 20.His roommate found Bitsko in his bed after he missed morning football practice.

Bitsko was the starting center for the Kent State football team, he was a red shirt Junior. Jason Bitsko was a Huber Heights native where he graduated from Wayne High School.
