St. Augustine Church in Cleveland, OH held its annual Christmas dinner today where it expected to feed 13,000 people at a number of locations.
At its main location on West 14th Street, volunteers served full course meals to folks who may need a helping hand.
James Bertran used to be homeless but now is off the streets and he savored every bit of his meal. "Ham, sweet potato, sweet potato pie you can't beat it."
As many as a thousand volunteers helped to make the dinner a success.
For many people at the dinner table, that might be the only meal and the only company they get all day on this Christmas.
And when the dinner is over, St. Augustine will return to its normal scheduled on Monday when it plans to feed some 750 people a day, as it does every day.
