For the second consecutive year the Browns will have three different starting quarterbacks in the season.
Browns head coach Mike Pettine has announced that rookie quarterback Connor Shaw has agreed to terms with the Browns and will be promoted from practice squad in time to start for the Browns this Sunday when they take on the Baltimore Ravens.
The Browns signed Shaw after he went undrafted in the 2014 draft. Shaw played at South Carolina where he is the school's leader in wins.
Shaw is given this chance because Johnny Manziel was shut down for the year due to a hamstring and Brian Hoyer was hurt in last week's game against the Panthers causing him to sit out the final game of the season.
