Suspicious fire at Brooklyn business

BROOKLYN, OH (WOIO) - Police and fire crews are investigating after a suspicious fire destroyed several vehicles at Brooklyn Trucks and Towing on Dec. 26 around 6 p.m.

Multiple tires caught fire, then a camper, boat, tractor-trailer and other property at the Ridge Road location burst into flames, said Brooklyn Fire Chief Joe Zemek.

Zemek added that the fire was suspicious but they had not yet determined the cause. Brooklyn Police are assisting with the investigation.

There were no injuries, and the fire was extinguished in less than 30 minutes. Cleveland firefighters assisted with the call.

Damages are estimated at $25,000, and the investigation is ongoing.
