STREETSBORO, OH (WOIO) - The Streetsboro Police Department has called off the search for an elderly man who had been missing since Friday.

Police found Alfred Donaldson at a residence in Twinsburg Township after receiving a tip on Sunday that his vehicle had been seen in the area of Stow Road and Old Mill Road.

On Monday, police received a second tip that someone had seen a male with a cane walking in that vicinity so officer Tom Ondecker drove out to the area and began to search for him. Ondecker found Donaldson's vehicle parked down a long drive next to a residence at 2910 Old Mill Road. Police say Donaldson was inside the vehicle and seemed to be alert, but had a minor case of frostbite.

According to police, Donaldson was treated and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

It is unclear at this point as to how or why he ended up at that location.

Streetsboro Police are grateful the public was able to assist in the search to bring Donaldson home safely.
