Cuyahoga County Health Officials announced Monday three more people have died from the flu. This brings the total number of victims this season to six. All of the people were senior citizens; two lived in Cleveland and one person lived in Westlake.

343 people were hospitalized with the flu or flu-related symptoms over the past two weeks.  People older than 70 or younger than 10-years-old are approximately 57% of the total of those hospitalized.

Nearly 400 Emergency Department visits were due to flu-like illness,  almost 5% of ED visits were due to flu-like illness

Overall, county flu activity remains at a very high level.  Most indicators are above baseline (the five-year median), but are not at a high or severe level at this point.
