NORTH OLMSTED, OH (WOIO) -

North Olmsted Police and the Cleveland FBI need the public's help identifying a man who robbed the Fifth Third Bank at 28880 Lorain Road on Tuesday around 2:30 p.m.

According to the FBI, a male wearing a mask entered the bank brandishing a firearm. The suspect waived the gun back and forth demanding money and wanted to see all the teller drawers opened. The suspect then placed the money in a white garbage bag.

The FBI says when he fled, he jumped into a red mercury van with tinted windows and double sliding side doors. The suspect was seen crossing Lorain Road, driving behind a plaza and then possibly heading southbound on Stearns Road.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s or 40s, approximately 5'10" tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask and a gray sweatshirt covered by a black and gray, plaid, flannel-type shirt.

Reward money is available for information leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual responsible for this robbery. Tips can remain anonymous and be provided to the Cleveland FBI at 216-522-1400 or the North Olmsted Police Department at 440-777-3535.
