LeBron-less Cavaliers fall in Atlanta

LeBron spent his 30th birthday on the bench in street clothes, nursing a sore knee, and the Atlanta Hawks made sure they spoiled his party, holding off the shorthanded Cavaliers, 109-101 at Philips Arena on Tuesday night.

Shawn Marion also sat out, while Kevin Love was limited to only 7 points in 24 minutes before back spasms ended his night, but Kyrie Irving certainly did his part, throwing down a game-high 35 to help the Cavs rally from 14 down in the second half.

Unfortunately, Paul Millsap was almost as hot, answering with 26 for the Hawks, who pulled away in the final minutes to deal the Cavaliers (18-13) their third loss in their last four games.
