Man arrested after wrong-way crash in Solon

SOLON, OH (WOIO) - A Bainbridge man was arrested for OVI, aggravated vehicular assault and several other charges after driving the wrong way on Route 422 in Solon, slamming into another driver head-on.

Charles Ussery, 37, had a BAC of .187 when he drove his Jeep Liberty eastbound in the westbound lanes of Route 422 during the early morning hours of Dec. 28. He struck a Saturn head on, sending the 20-year-old driver to Hillcrest Hospital. 

Ussery and his 44-year-old passenger were also taken to Hillcrest. 

Officers who responded to the accident said Ussery had alcohol on his breath and his eyes were glassy.
