will be out two weeks with left knee and lower back strains. The Cleveland Cavaliers made the announcement on New Year's Day.
James was evaluated Wednesday at Cleveland Clinic Sports Health by Richard D. Parker, MD, Cavaliers Head Team Physician.
Tests included a physical exam, radiographs and a MRI, the results of which revealed left knee and lower back strains.
These conditions will be treated via a multimodal approach consisting of anti-inflammatories, rehabilitation, training room treatments and rest.
Earlier this week, James spent his 30th birthday on the bench in street clothes during the Atlanta Hawks game.
He also missed the team's Wednesday night game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
