LAKE COUNTY, OH (WOIO) - There may not be snow on the ground but mother nature can still wreak plenty of havoc without it.
An accident in Lake County is proof of that. The Sheriff's Office reopened I-90 East at mile marker 209 in Madison, near the Vrooman Road exit, just after 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The highway was closed for about one hour.
Four cars were involved in an accident due to ice buildup. There were injuries in the crash but it's not known how many or how severe.
Another accident on SR 44 at the Geauga County line took the life of 74-year-old Jane Gonczy. The two-car accident happened just before 10 a.m. and closed SR 44 for around one hour.
